In 1999 Ivan was Awarded Craftsman status of The Guild of Wedding Photographers. There is only a handful of Photographers within Northern Ireland who hold this award, it is an award based on creativity and technical ability in all aspects of Wedding Photography. In 2001 Ivan won the UK portfolio for his Wedding Images.
You will see examples of Ivan’s work in the Northern Ireland glossy wedding publications, he advertises regularly in The Ulster Bride magazine and takes a Stand at The Brides Fair in The Kings Hall each year, which is the main Wedding event of the year in Northern Ireland. Ivan has won many awards since entering professional photography in 1994, since 2002 Ivan has shot all his assignments on digital media and say’s digital capture is the way forward, the quality of the product is exceptional and it can be easily and quickly processed on computer.
The end product can be as simple as files burnt to a DVD or sent down the line as an FTP. Ivan views his work through his website, DVD show and booklet form.
Ivan is a qualified Professional Photographer and holds qualification with The British Institute of Professional Photography, The Master Photographers Association and The Professional Photographers Association Northern Ireland.
Ivan embraced the digital era four years ago and as more and more couples are asking for digital photography, this fits in well with the creation of Designer and Magazine Albums. Ivan’s Wedding Albums are all computer generated the design and assessment is done in-house by Shaz the companies Digital Guru. Shaz has worked in Wedding photography for 22 years and immediately saw the potential that digital photography had to offer, coupled with the diversity of this creative medium - she loves It!
Ivan’s attitude to the Wedding Day is simple, just let it flow, the Wedding day has a multiplicity of layers and it is each of these layers from the Bride getting ready in the morning, through to possibly a Fireworks display to end the day, as each layer unfolds Ivan will record the Wedding in a warm, relaxed and friendly manner, resulting in refreshingly stunning images, Ivan’s attention to organisation, detail and enthusiasm means you get stunning photography and you get to sit down to your wedding meal at the appointed time.
